Automated Tickets Coming Soon
The City of Berwyn has been issued permits by IDOT for two intersections: Cermak/Ridgeland and 26th/East Ave. This means that the company in charge of the red light ticket system should be constructing soon and that anyone who goes through a red light at these intersections will be mailed a ticket.
We still are waiting for permits for two more intersections.
You have been warned; or not.

Clearly Berwyn is not alone here... Chicago has several of these cash machines, oh sorry I mean traffic safety devices, located throughout the city which bring in approximately $20 million annually. However, I can't help but think of the Sylvester Stalone movie, Demolition Man. In this futuristic movie pedestrians who use foul language are autmotically fined from monitoring stations placed throughout the city. Is this where we are headed? I hope not.
