All Berwyn Committee
A.B.C. FORUMS TO FEATURE PARK, SCHOOL BOARD RACES

To provide ample opportunity for candidates running for Berwyn park and school boards to present their qualifications to the voters before the April 17 election, the All Berwyn Committee will host two public forums.

The first forum to be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 15, will feature candidates for the boards of the North Berwyn Elementary School District 98, South Berwyn Elementary School District 100, Berwyn Park District and North Berwyn Park District.

The second forum at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 15, will focus on candidates for the boards of Morton High School District 201 and Morton College District 527.

Both forums will be held in the City Council Chambers of Berwyn City Hall, 6700 W. 26th St.

“On April 17, voters must decide which candidates they believe best can assure quality education for Berwyn children and variety of recreational opportunities for residents of all ages,” said A.B.C. President Susan Anderson. “Because we believe Berwyn residents share our belief in the importance of these decisions, the All Berwyn Committee is devoting two successive meetings to election issues.”

Anderson said candidates are being invited to participate in a “forum, not a debate, a format that is in keeping with the A.B.C.’s mission as a non-partisan, non-sectarian organization.” Candidates will be asked to present their qualifications and goals. An audience participation question-and-answer session will follow.
