Missing Person
Yes, this is not arts' related, but relevant for our community.

Jassen Strokosch is a missing father of two, an avid bicyclist and runner. He was last seen wearing a plaid button up shirt, unknown t shirt underneath, and blue jeans or khakis. He was last seen in the area of Cermk and DesPlaines in Forest Park, on Wednesday, July 20, 2011, around 10 am.

He is believed to be on foot.

Long brown hair, hazel eyes, 6'1', 145lbs, born on May 17, 1972. He drives a Silver 2005 Pontiac Vibe that was found at Roosevelt and East in Berwyn.

Weekend
Berwyn Art's Council local artist series continues Friday.

Each month a selected local artist's works will be featured at Berwyn's Historic Route 66 Museum located at 7003 W. Ogden Avenue, Berwyn.


The next showcase, Friday, July 22, will feature nationally recognized metal sculptor, Mike Helbing, a friend of mine, and his masterfully crafted, as he calls them "journeys of discovery."

Intense sculpture. Go check it out. Or not.

This Weekend
A few things going on.

The Crowd You're In With is at the 16th Street Theater.This is a comedy
about couples being pregnant, trying to get pregnant and life in general.

This is opening weekend. Highly recommended. Tickets here

Saturday, meet Berwyn's Sean Gallagher at his first solo exhibit featuring images taken throughout Chicagoland. He will also be featuring images from some of his other series entitled "Motor Heads" and "The End of Man". Photographs will be displayed both as paper prints and prints on aluminum.
